Day 1

Day 2

Sightseeing: Yuyuan Garden, Nanjing Road, the Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower
In the morning you will be picked up from hotel and be driven to visit the Yuyuan Garden, a beautiful garden in the south of the Yangtze River. Wandering through it, you will find pavilions, corridors, streams, courtyards as well as many other natural sceneries.
Continue the tour to the famous Nanjing Road and the Bund. They are among the most recognizable architectural symbols of the city and become a must-see in Shanghai.
Go ahead to visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the highest TV Tower in Asia when it was built. As one of the Shanghai's landmarks, it attracts thousands of visitors a year.
After the tour you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Xining. Upon arrival you will be met at Xining airport and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3
Xining / Haiyan (B)

Sightseeing: Gold and Silver Grassland, Qinghai Lake
You will be driven to Haiyan county to visit the Gold and Silver Grassland, which is about 100 kilometers away from Xining. For grasses on the land is rich, and the cattle and sheep there are strong, people use gold and silver to describe this beautiful and rich land, hence the name.
Then you will visit Qinghai Lake, which is the largest inland lake as well as the largest saline lake in China. With beautiful scenery, rare animals and abundant plants, the miraculous Qinghai Lake scenic area attracts not only numerous tourists but also the attentions from scientists around the world. You will also visit the Golden Sand Bay in the scenic area.
Day 4
Haiyan / Gonghe / Xining (B)

Sightseeing: Longyang Gorge, Longyangxia Earth Forest Geo-park
This morning you will be driven to Gonghe county to visit Longyang Gorge. Known as "The Grand Canyon of China", Longyang Gorge is located on the upper reaches of the Yellow River. It is the first gorge in the Yellow River gorges area after it flows through the Qinghai Prairie. The gorge mouth is only 30 meters wide and the gorge walls are nearly 200 meters high. You will take a boat cruise to explore the gorge, disembark and then have a hiking tour along the timber deck to enjoy the scenery of the ancient riverway of the Yellow River.
Drive to visit the Longyangxia Earth Forest Geo-park in the afternoon. Located 15 kilometers northwest of Longyangxia Town, it is an important scenic spot in the Longyangxia Eco-tourism Scenic Area. The earth forest is a unique landform in northwest China and has great ornamental value.
After the tour today you will be driven back to Xining.
Day 5
Xining / Huangnan / Xining (B)

Sightseeing: Kanbula National Geological Park
Today you will be driven to Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to visit Kanbula National Geological Park. Located about 131 kilometers from Xining, Kanbula National Geological Park has a typical Danxia peak-forest landform. You will visit the magnificent Danxia landscape, as well as the temple and other main scenic spots in the park. Have a hiking tour along the plank road in the park and then visit a Tibetan village in the scenic area.
You will be driven back to Xining after the tour.
Day 6
Xining / Xi’an (B)

Sightseeing: Terra-Cotta Warrior and Horses
This morning you will be driven to the railway station, catch your bullet train to Xi’an. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to visit the Terra-Cotta Warrior and Horses. Regarded as the 8th Wonder of the World, the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses is one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Over 2,200 years ago, the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, ordered the construction of a vast army of Terra-cotta warriors in search of immortality. After his early death they were buried with him to protect his empire.
Drive to the downtown Xi’an in the afternoon.
Day 7
Xi’an / Lijiang (B,L)

Sightseeing: Ancient City Wall, The Grand Mosque, Muslim Street, Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Visit the Ancient City Wall, which is the existing largest and best preserved ancient city wall in China and is probably the best military battlement in the world. The wall was built in the Tang dynasty (618 -907) and enlarged in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). If you want, you can rent a bicycle for a ride on top of the spectacular city wall.
Then visit the Grand Mosque. Located in the center of the city, it is the largest and one of the most important Islamic mosques in China.
Continue the tour to the Muslim Street, known as Huimin Jie by Chinese, it is a famous snack street in Xi 'an. The district houses the architectures in the style of Ming and Qing dynasties, with the Drum Tower in south and memorial archway in north, embracing many ancient courtyards as well as some 10 mosques in diverse sizes that built in different time, around where inhabited bout 20,000 Muslims retaining their pristine religious tradition and life style.
Go ahead to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Situated in the south of the city, it is one of the main constructions in the famous Buddhist temple -Da-Ci-En Temple. There, the well-known Buddhist Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his collection of classic Buddhist artifacts brought from India in Tang Dynasty. Now it is the landmark of Xi’an.
After the tour you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Lijiang. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 8
Lijiang (B)
Sightseeing: Baisha Old Town, Jade Peak Temple, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Spruce Meadow
Be picked up from hotel in the morning and be driven to visit the Baisha frescoes in Baisha Old Town, which is the most original one among the three ancient towns in Lijiang. Located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Baisha Old Town was the ancient capital of Naxi people, as well as the center of politics, economy, commerce, and culture of Lijiang. The highlight there is frescoes.
Continue to visit the Jade Peak Temple. Constructed in 1700 during ancient China’s Qing Dynasty, Jade Peak Temple is one of the five famous lamaseries in suburb of Lijiang, and it is especially famous for camellias.
You will go ahead to visit the well-known Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Spruce Meadow on the Mountain. Located at the lower right of the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Spruce Meadow is a huge lawn hidden in the original spruce forest, with an elevation of 3,240 meters.
After the tour today you will be driven back to the downtown.
Day 9
Lijiang (B)
Sightseeing: Stone Drum Town, First Bend of the Yangtze River, Tiger Leaping Gorge
This morning you will be driven to the suburb and visit the Stone Drum Town. It is named after a drum-shaped white marble stele in the town. The stele is 1.5 meters in diameter and 0.7 meters thick. It is one of the earliest stone tablets discovered in Lijiang. Here you will also visit the First Bend of the Yangtze River. Rushing down from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, "the roof of the world", the Yangtze surges into Yunnan from its northwest, where it meets Lancang River and Nu River. Then, they go together through the high mountains and deep gorges of Hengduan Mountains. You will be impressed by this natural power.
The well-known Tiger Leaping Gorge is included in the tour today. Being one of Yunnan's most famous spots, the gorge itself is tucked neatly between the Yulong Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. It is one of the deepest gorges in China.
Drive back to the downtown after the tour.
Day 10
Lijiang / Chengdu (B,L)

Sightseeing: Lijiang Ancient Town, Black Dragon Lake, Mu's Residence
Check out your hotel in the morning. You will visit the Lijiang Ancient Town, which is also known as Dayan Town in Lijiang. Initially built in the late 13th century and being enlarged during Ming and Qing dynasties, it was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1997.
Then visit the Black Dragon Lake. Also known as Jade Spring Park or Temple of Dragon King to local people, Black Dragon Lake is a famous one for its clear water, thousand-year-old trees, and picturesque landscape.
Continue the tour to the Mu's Residence. Located at the southwest part of Lijiang and built symmetrically according to imperial palace of Han nationality, the Mu’s Residence was the mansion of the Mu family, the ruler of Naxi people that ruled Lijiang for about 470 years in ancient China.
Be transferred to the airport and take flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to hotel.
Day 11
Chengdu / Leshan / Emeishan (B)

Sightseeing: Leshan Giant Buddha
This morning you will be driven to Leshan city, take a boat cruise to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the largest cliff carving statue in China, with a height of 71 meters. Leshan Giant Buddha is a statue of Maitreya (a Bodhisattva usually represented as a very stout monk with a broad smile on his face and with his naked breast and paunch exposed to view) in sitting posture. It started to be carved in 713 A.D. and finished 90 years later. Facing the river, the Buddha has symmetrical posture and looks which have been beautifully captured in its solemn stillness. It has three-meter-long (about 11 feet) fingers. The eight-meter-long (about 27 feet) instep is big enough for one hundred people to sit on and the 28-meter-wide (about 92 feet) shoulder is large enough to be a basketball playground.
After the tour in Leshan you will be driven to Emeishan and check in your hotel.
Day 12
Emeishan / Chengdu (B)

Sightseeing: Mount Emei
Today you will visit the famous Mount Emei. The first Buddhist temple in China was built here in Sichuan province in the 1st century A.D. in the beautiful surroundings of the summit Mount Emei. The addition of other temples turned the site into one of Buddhism's holiest sites. Take a cable car up to the Golden Summit, you will enjoy the well-known natural scenery, extensive Buddhist culture, abundant range of species and unique landform of the mountain.
After the tour you will take a cable car down and then be driven to downtown Chengdu. Check in your hotel.
Day 13
Chengdu (B,L)
Sightseeing: Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base, Jinli Street, People's Park
Have a full day tour in Chengdu. In the morning you will be driven to the suburb to visit the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base, which was built to imitate the wild ecological environment of pandas. It covers a space of 92 acres, with a green coverage of 96 percent. The base created a perfect ecological environment for the living and breeding of pandas and other precious and rare wild animals. It breeds over 20 pandas and lesser pandas, black-necked cranes, white cranes and others.
Then you will be driven back to the downtown and have a leisure walk along the Jinli Street, which is particularly representative for this city. Recorded that was already existed during the Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 206 BC), Jinli Street was the most famous place for baldachin - a rich, ornate cloth. During the ancient Shu Kingdom (221-263) it was one of the busiest commercial streets. In order to reclaim the street's prosperity of former days, it was restored with contributions from the Wuhou Memorial Temple and was opened to public in October 2004.
Continue to visit the People's Park. Covering an area of 112,639 square meters, Chengdu People's Park is a comprehensive park integrating gardens, cultural relics protection, recreation and others.
Day 14
Chengdu / Zhangjiajie (B)

Sightseeing: Huanglongxi Ancient Town
Today you will firstly visit the Huanglongxi Ancient Town. As a historical and cultural ancient town of Sichuan province, and the provincial-level tourist scenic spot, the town has been built for more than 1,700 years. It is not only beautiful, but also a well-known natural film and television photography base, known as "Studio City" and "China's Hollywood".
After the tour you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Wulingyuan.
Day 15
Zhangjiajie(B, L)
Sightseeing: Yellow Dragon Cavern, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge
This morning you will visit the Yellow Dragon Cavern, which is a typical limestone cave. The whole cave has four layers, showing us that ''caves in caves, caves in mountains and rivers in caves''. Geologists from home and abroad unanimously agree that the Yellow Dragon Cavern involves all the knowledge mentioned in speleology with its large scale, diversified landscape and unrivalled beauty.
Continue the tour to visit Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, which combines mountains, water, caves and lakes, and is known as the "museum of Zhangjiajie landform". The wooden walkway in the canyon stretches for miles, and there are many waterfalls and springs along the way. The stream in the canyon is filled with a layer of mist all year round, just like a paradise.
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is also included today. It stretches about 430 meters across a canyon at width of 6 meters, with a dizzying height of some 300 meters above the impressive Zhangjiajie scenery, this sky-walk is set to smash records to be the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge and easily dwarfs America's Grand Canyon Sky-walk.
Day 16
Zhangjiajie (B)
Sightseeing: Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain
Today you will firstly visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, which is a concentration of beautiful scenery in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It becomes more popular as the Southern Sky Pillar in the scenic area inspired the floating mountains in the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar. You will see the First Bridge under Heaven, the Hallelujah Peak and other beautiful attractions.
Go ahead to the Tianzi Mountain. Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve is a mesa in the northwest of Wulingyuan. Up on the mesa, the field of vision is widely opened up and it is a perfect location to have a panoramic view of the nature reserve.
Day 17
Zhangjiajie (B)
Sightseeing: Huangshi Village, Jinbian Brook
Have a full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You will visit the Huangshi Village (also named Yellow Stone Village). It is a mesa higher on the north side elevated by stiff cliffs. Huangshi Village has the most of marvelous views of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park including Treasure Box of Heavenly Books, Magic Sea-suppressing Needle, South Pillar of Heaven, Golden Tortoise Watching the Sea, etc.
Then visit the Jinbian Brook (also named Golden Whip Stream). It covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year and is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle.
Day 18
Zhangjiajie / Beijing (B)

Sightseeing: Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen Cave
Check out your hotel in the morning. Further explore Zhangjiajie by visiting the Tianmen Mountain. Authorized as a national forest park in 1992, Tianmen Mountain is also known as Heaven Gate Mountain due to the unique natural miracle Tianmen Cave on the mountain, many Chinese believe that the Tianmen Mountain is the “Closest Earth Landmark to Heaven”.
You will enjoy the scenery of the mountain on the Tianmen Glass Plank Road. With the highest altitude of some 1,430 meters, the glass walkway is 60 meters long and 1.6 meters wide. The excitement on Tianmen Glass Plank Road almost can be comparable to the America’s Grand Canyon Skywalk, thus it is reputed as the “Skywalk of the East”.
Today you will also visit the Tianmen Cave. Looks like the junction of man's world and the heaven, Tianmen Cave is the highest altitude natural cave in the world. With some 1260 meters elevation, it is on the precipices and has a height of 131.5 meters and a width of 50 meters or so. Visitors need to walk up 999 steps to reach the cave.
After the tour you will be transferred to the airport and catch your flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Day 19

Sightseeing: Temple of Heaven, Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City
This morning the tour will begin with a visit of the Temple of Heaven, which was completed in 1420, and expanded over the years by two Qing Dynasty Emperors. It was the place where the Emperor came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. With the three blue-tiled cone-shaped roofs, a unique wooden and blue-tiled structure built without a nail, it has become one of the symbols of Beijing.
Go on the city tour to visit Tian’anmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people.
From here you will walk across the Golden River Bridge to visit the Forbidden City and experience the ancient Emperor's daily life. For 5 centuries Chinese emperors carried out their administration here. With almost 10,000 rooms, it was the centre of the Ming and Qing dynasties, a massive complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was the largest palace in the world, and in the past it was indeed a forbidden place for commoners. Your tour here will include private access to the Emperor's palace.
Day 20

Sightseeing: Changling Tomb, Sacred Way, Mutianyu Great Wall
Start today’s tour to visit the Changling Tomb among the legendary thirteen Ming Tombs, which are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. Changling Tomb, or Chang Mausoleum, is the largest one of the Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried.
You will walk along the Sacred Way, a road guarded by stone statues on both sides, as the ancient emperors did to hold a memorial ceremony for their ancestors.
The highlight today is the Mutianyu Great Wall, the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Whereas Genghis Khan contemplated it as a military obstacle, Richard Nixon described it as one of humankind's greatest achievements. You will be able to climb and walk one of the best preserved sections of the 2,000 years old ancient wall, admiring the splendid mountain views.
Day 21
Beijing (B)
Sightseeing: Hutongs, Summer Palace, Beihai Park
You will have a free walk at the Hutong area this morning. Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alleys or lanes which are very typical in Beijing. Most of them can be found close to the Forbidden City, and many were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the Hutong is a living museum of Beijing history showing the traditional lifestyle of the local people.
Continue to visit the famous royal garden-Summer Palace. In 1888, the notorious Empress Cixi used the money intended for the Chinese Navy to build this opulent summer retreat for herself. You will have a lakeside cruise on the Kunming Lake and enjoy the magical views of the temples, pavilions and covered corridors around.
Then head for the Beihai Park. Located in the central area of Beijing, it is one of the oldest, most complete, comprehensive and representative imperial gardens in existence in China.

Booked a 2 day private tour of Xi’an with Grace as our local tour guide. Really good service from both the booking agent Lisa as well as Grace and the driver Mr Wang. Managed to see all the big sights including Terracotta Warriors, City Wall, Bell Tower and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. They took care of everything and gave good local food recommendations. Travelled with my father who walks quite slow, but they managed to accomodate him no problem. 10/10 would recommend.

What a wonderful tour trip I and my wife had in China. Thanks to Visitourchina, a professional Tour Agency that helped to plan and execute this trip for us. Our trip was customized by careful selection of the cities and what exactly to see in those cities. Guangzhou, Guilin and Beijing you were so amazing. Our memories cant forget that experience of walking on that terrifying but safe Gulong Canyon glass bridge, the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin left us mouth agape as it was the first to see such kind of huge and beautiful cave. The boat cruise in Li River and its wonderful mountainous scenery showed us how nature can be so beautiful. Beijing gave us a glimpse of China history and that was a mesmerizing moment for us. The Forbiden city, the Temple of Heaven and the famous Mutianyu Great wall all displayed the wonderful ancient masterpieces in architectural designs. Kudos to Visitourchina, your responses and actions to our inquiries and requests were so quick, the logistics were to the point. We did a two-day excursion with Lily in Guilin, starting with the Li River cruise, the bamboo canoe ride, and the second day we went up to the rice fields in the mountains: the experience was magnificent, the landscapes were beautiful, and the organization and coordination from both the agency and Lily was excellent: from the moment we arrived in Guilin, they warmly welcomed us at the airport and helped us organize everything, including some hotel details such as breakfast and check-in. Lily knows a lot, making our stay and knowledge of the place much easier and more pleasant, and the walks are very complete, organizing all the details, explaining local customs and stories, always accompanied and very well informed. 100% recommendable
