I awoke at 6:30 AM. Guess what? It's raining again. I borrowed an umbrella from the hotel. There is a person near the front desk of the hotel that is handing them out. I enjoyed another very satisfying breakfast. The hotel restaurant has someone making omelettes. I walked up to him and saw what I believed to be were pancakes. I asked him for some syrup and he pointed to something that appeared to be syrup. As it turned out the 'pancakes' were in fact 'round fried eggs' and the syrup turned out to be soy sauce. Anyhow they were delicious.
Awoke at 5:30 AM. An early breakfast before we begin our 6 hour drive to Changsha. I'm optimistic about today's weather as I have brought my sunglasses out.
On June 22 at the 38th World Heritage Convention in Qatars capital Doha, the World Heritage Committee approved Chinas declaration of the Grand Canal, and Chinas united declaration with Kazakhstan and Kyrghyzstan of the Silk Road to be world heritages. World Heritage Committee considers Chinas Grand Canal is the worlds longest and oldest artificial watercourse, and the largest civil engineering project before the industrial revolution.

Every year in March and April, it is the season to enjoy cherry blossoms. The transiently splendid sakura always impress visitors with its beauty, sometimes like snow hanging on the tree, sometimes like raindrops dancing in the air. While sakura in Japan is known to the world, cherry blossom in China is also worth your appreciation. And here are some best places for your reference.
Generally speaking, a travel to China is not a meaningless experience for whoever has the chance to live this odyssey, the country being filled with such a huge number of tourist scenic spots, historical, cultural and natural sceneries. On the Christmas Eve of 2010, I started my business trip from Guilin to Huangshan (or Yellow Mountain, Mt. Huangshan). We just spent 4 hours taking a high speed railway to Hangzhou, and then took a bus transfer to Wuzhen which cost about 2 hours....
