It's foggy which makes it difficult to see much of anything. We headed out and went up and down stairs for about 20 minutes. We then turned around and back to the hotel we went as it was much too foggy to see anything. We did see some of the granite peaks that pierced the sky but missed most of them. So be it. We still very much enjoyed this part of our travel experience. Following dinner in Huangshan we were driven to a theater where we then enjoyed a cultural performance. Once again we had seats in one of the front of the auditorium seats.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival, comes each year on lunar calendar August.15th. This year, it falls on Monday, Sept.8th, but people have the day off because it is a public holiday in China.The Mid-Autumn Festival is the most traditional festival in China just second to Spring Festival. To admire the beautiful full moon is the highlight of this festival. According to Chinese people, it is recommended to do it outdoors especially on a high site to obtain a broad vision.

There is a Chinese saying which says: once you have visited Yellow Mountain, there is no point in visiting any other. Yellow Mountain is truly an incredible place and even more beautiful in winter. Every year the mountain receives millions of tourists from all over the world. The beauty of Yellow Mountain lies in its endless changes. Most people, who visit Yellow Mountain, come back more than once to experience it in different seasons.

Yellow Mountain, or Huangshan Mountain, located in Huangshan city, Anhui province, is famed as the only scenic area that wins the title of World Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, and World Geological Park at the same time. Whenever you climb the mountain, you will be conquered by the breathtaking scenery, especially in springtime.

On the Christmas Eve of 2010, I started my business trip from Guilin to Huangshan (or Yellow Mountain, Mt. Huangshan). Although I lost the chance to have a Christmas party with my friends at home, I did not feel much regrettable, because this unforgettable trip made my Huangshan travel dream come true. With undiminished excitement for this Mt. Huangshan tour, I hereby would like to share my experience with you.
