In what way can you relate Lijiang (Li River), ballet and circus with each other in a show? Well, I have to admit that I thought it's just a way of catching people's eyeballs when I saw the name of DREAMLIKE LIJIANG: New Ballet Circus at the entrance of Guilin Dreamlike Lijiang Theater last week for the first time, because it's really hard for me to imagine a scene in which a graceful ballet dancer plays with a comical buffoon by the Li River unless it is a comic stage acting, isn't it?

What a great year I have had in Guilin filled both highs and lows hard study and great travel experiences. Ultimately it is not the places that I visited and travelled to during my twelve month stay in Guilin it was more the people who I travelled with.

On the Christmas Eve of 2010, I started my business trip from Guilin to Huangshan (or Yellow Mountain, Mt. Huangshan). Although I lost the chance to have a Christmas party with my friends at home, I did not feel much regrettable, because this unforgettable trip made my Huangshan travel dream come true. After being in Guilin for almost a year as a student I have thought through the ten most worthwhile things I have got up to in Guilin: 10. It was that time of year when everyone gets together and celebrates Christmas; I was no different, this was the second time that I had celebrated Christmas in China and this time round I headed to the Shangri-la with some American classmates on Christmas Eve, with Christmas Day fully booked out; the Shangri-la is the latest addition to Guilin's cultural landscape, a beautifully designed and constructed hotel, the interior was also remarkably designed with beautiful views over the Li River distant pagodas, this is defiantly the must stay place in Guilin now.
