With three days holiday I needed something do, so harnessing my adventurous spirit I decided to visit one of the twelve counties that surround Guilin. It must be one of the few restaurants with the best environment in Guilin. I had dinner with my friends in Haochibao Restaurant (好吃堡) of Guilin last week. And we enjoyed both the food and environment there very much.Guilin Haochibao Restaurant is inside the Liangjiang Theater, only 100 meters from the dreamlike Two Rivers and Four Lakes spot and 50 meters from the Zhengyang Walking Street. Lingering in Daxu Ancient Town

If you think Guilin scenery is more natural, no more cultural or historical, there is a place which you must see. It is Daxu Ancient Town, which is located to the southwest of Guilin, on shore of the Li River. It takes about 40 minuets by driving from Guilin. So, many Guilin citizens like to diver car to enjoy weekend in this area. In the mean time, Daxu town now is a big town in Guilin area, and its market is very famous, many people just go to Daxu town on purpose during market time. But it is a little hard for me to count the date, as the market date is based on Chinese lunar calendar. P.S.: In Chinese, Xu means local market, so, Daxu means big local market, very cute name for the ancient town....

The sceneries of Guilin is the best under heaven, so is the silk products of Hangzhou.Hangzhou is praised as the House of Silk for long and its long history of silk was showed by the excavated 4700-year-old silk fabrics from Liangzhu Town, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Bai Juyi, a famous poet of Tang Dynasty, once wrote poems to describe the high standard of Hangzhou silk.
