As one of the key travel agencies in the region, Guilin Tianyuan International Travel Service Co. LTD was invited by the Ancient Zhuang Village Scenic Area (龙脊古壮寨梯田观景区), one of the main scenic areas of Dragons Backbone Rice Terraces of Longsheng, to this years Customers Thanks Meeting on November 15. With great honor, Carrie, one of my colleague also in English Department, and I had the pleasure to represent the company to participate the meeting with over 150 friends from other travel agencies and had a sightseeing of this new developed scenic spot which was opened just in June this year.

Yet another aspect of traditional Chinese culture I find myself completely enthralled by is ancient Chinese religion and philosophy.With a history as long as China’s, there’s little wonder how such a wide variety of colorful belief systems and practices have manifested over the ages and embedded themselves in the heart of traditional society.To be sure, each has taken shape in popular culture in their own distinct way and offer unique perspectives on the Chinese way of life, although the philosophic doctrine I seem to personally resonate with is Daoism (or Taoism).

As an avid traveler I find great joy living in a large country like China.With an incredible variety of terrain and an equally diverse cultural landscape, the amount of traveling possibilities is seemingly endless.While I certainly cannot claim to have been to even half of the more famous cities and sites, I have at least been to some of the key regional destinations such asBeijing in the north,Chengdu in the west,Shanghai in the east, and of course, Guilin in the south.However, of all the locations I have personally traveled to in China, my favorite is probably the least known of all: Guangxi Autonomous Regions Weizhou Island (涠洲岛).

Last Friday I had the privilege of visiting the Tea Science and Research Institute of Guilin, Guangxi (广西桂林茶叶科学研究所). Through a friend of a friend, a couple of my buddies and I were able to spend a beautiful autumn afternoon on a special tour of the Tea Institutes facilities and fields. Whats more, as a self-proclaimed tea enthusiast, I was particularly excited for the outing and could not have thought of a better way to enjoy the local scenery and weather.

Around 11 km apart from the county seat of Yangshuo, the Yulong Bridge Bamboo Rafting Scenic Spot at Yulong Village of Baisha Town, the first and only tourism observation in China set up by the World Travel Organization on July 26, 2005, is also known as the highlight section for bamboo rafting in Yangshuo. Built in 1412, Yulong Bridge is the biggest single-arched bridge in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the origin that the name of the picturesque Yulong River comes from.

As a travel lover, I never plan to stop my steps of experiencing amazing wonders in person. Thats why I started for Tibetan Autonomous Region and spent my time there from September 19th to October 1st in spite of the possible high altitude reaction.

Jiuzhaigou Valley in Sichuan Province is a key national natural reserve that listed into the world heritage sites with five wonders, colorful forest is one of which. Owing to the unique ecosystem and a temperate climate in the area, autumn is Jiuzhaigou Valley's most intoxicate season with a riots of colors mirroring in the bright blue waters reflecting the clear blue sky and bright white clouds. Cordially crowned as a fairyland on earth, the valley is an authentic enormous color kingdom with its highlight- the Wuhua Lake (五花海, colorful lake), which is the proud and essence of the valley that blended light yellow, blackish green, mazarine, dark blue … into a single water area.

1. Daxu Ancient Town (大圩古镇), Guilin Daxu Ancient Town is the first to be mentioned as one of the four most famed ancient towns in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Due to its preferable location on the northern bank of Li River, some 23 km southeast of Guilin, Daxu Ancient Town enjoys a humid subtropical climate with beautiful sceneries. Originally built in 200AD with a history over 1800 years, the town already got its fame as one of the four fair towns in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The preserved residences and alleyways we can see today in the village are mostly in the styles of Ming and Qing (1636-1911) dynasties with aged black bricks and grey tiles, standing on the old stone-paved streets.
