We finally start our Hong Kong tourthis day. We had a nice start of visiting Lantau Island, the Tian Tan Buddha,and Tai-O Village.

In terms of preserving food, the intelligent Chinese had already invented various ways in the remote ancient; curing, drying, pickling, smoking, and freezing are the most frequently used, which can not only retain the food but also created some entirely different tastes differing from the fresh. Up to this day, though modern hi-technology has been applied in maintaining the fresh flavor of the food material, the special flavors of Chinese food that recreated by the time by means of traditional ways of food-keeping are still obsessing for people as a indispensable part because they are both the tastes of ones hometown and some kind of emotions of the traditional Chinese culture.

Honestly speaking, wage days are always kept on our mind every month, but sometimes there is more than salary to look forward to, for example, the annual year-end company travel. Im not sure whether companies abroad will organize a tour for their staff at the end of the year, but it is indeed a tradition for Chinese travel agencies to take a short trip before the Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year), which always falls in January or February. No exception happened and Hong Kong was decided to be our destination this year.

It has been long time I planned to take a visit Hong Kong, it was a little pity last time I did not visit Hong Kong once I was in Macao in 2009, because I would like to give myself more time to explore Hong Kong as it is worthy to spend several days instead of only one day. So, in early June, during my Dagon Boat Festival holiday, I had the opportunity to visit Hong Kong, my dream really came true. Now let me show you some Hong Kong highlights which I found.
