Harbin (B, L)

Sightseeing: Siberian Tiger Park, Sun Island Scenic Area, The Ice and Snow World

Today, you will visit Siberian Tiger Park. It is the largest felid in the world and is known as the King of the Forest. In the 1980s, it was listed as one of the first-class national protected animals of China.

Then continue to visit Sun Island Scenic Area, which lies on the north bank of the Songhua River and is a paradise for ice-snow travel in winter. The Sun Island Snow Sculptures is another highlight in your date time. Fanciful sculptures are made in the shapes of animals, plants, buildings etc. Some of the larger ones have included a crystalline ice bridge. It is an amazing ice and snow artwork.

In the evening, a spectacular banquet will be arranged for you! That is the Harbin Ice and Snow World. A key part of Harbin International Ice Festival, it is by far the largest ice and snow art exhibition in the world providing visitors with a good opportunity to appreciate a galaxy of unique ice and snow art. Then we will continue to visit the Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State. Although the history became the history, the Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State still reminds us of the darkness at that period. It was here that Puyi, the last emperor of China was installed as the nominal head of state by the Japanese. It is a series of buildings that are totally different from modern styles. The palace bears witness to the Japanese invasion of Dongbei (northeast part of China) and the royal tragedy of Puyi and his concubines.

-Shenyang Imperial Palace: It is the seat of power for Nurhachi & his son Huangtaiji before Qing Dynasty established. Built in 1625, the palace in Shenyang is one of two royal complexes existing in China today. Though much smaller than Forbidden City, the distinct architectural style of the palace is very charming and most halls are still in fine conditions.

-Museum of Zhang Xueliang Former Residence: It is the mansion of General Zhang Zuolin and General Zhang Xueliang (1901-2001, a very famous patriot of the Anti-Japanese War), father and son warlords, both have outstanding influence in China's Modern History. The house consists of a school room, garden, drawing room, and other areas erected in a mixture of Chinese, European and Japanese styles.
