A short exploration for Guilin Hotels
2012-02-10 | China travel Guide
To have a better knowledge and to learn latest news about our frequently recommended hotels in Guilin, our company organized a short visit to some Guilin hotels on Feb.7. With great honor, I had the chance to visit the eight selected ones with my other three colleagues from Russian Department. The hotels this time we had visitedwere Jin-tong Guilin Hotel, Fubo Hotel, Hotel Universal Guilin, Guilin Eva Inn, Hotel Grand 0773 , Guilin Osmanthus Hotel, Hanting Express (the Elephant Hill Park branch) and Guilin Inn.
Looking for a weekend that differentiates itself by its activities and highlights, I spent the last hours of a previous weekend in Yangshuo looking for some new attractions on August 6th, actually the last weekend I spent in China.
Finding some interesting activities around Guilin vicinity is one of the easiest things to do, the topography and natural sceneries of this area of China being such a jewel. Living in Guilin in order to study Chinese, I woke up on a Saturday morning with no plans at all for the day except going out with friends and have some good time. Our decision was to discover all together a famous scenic spot of the city that our teachers were talking about during the lessons: the Li River Crown Cave (Guanyan, 冠岩). Bottle of water and snacks checked, we left by bus - the easiest way I've taken so far to travel in Guangxi Province - for the scenic area is located at about 29 km downstream from Guilin city, on the banks of the Li River.
Living in Guilin is like living in a world made of amazing nature where karstic hills and mountains rise straightly out of the ground everywhere near to the pristine Li River. Here you can meet friendly and interesting Chinese people who are willing to share their knowledge about their city. Furthermore, it is a paradise for discovering colorful culture and food as well!
The OTM Indian 2011, India's only travel Mart focusing on leading outbound travel show, has been held from February 18th to 20th in Mumbai and from February 24th to 26th in New Delhi respectively. It brought together all segments of the global travel industry, from over 50 countries, to network and transact business with a large cross-section of travel trade. Being one of the leading travel agencies in Guilin, VisitOurChina, English department of Guilin Tianyuan International Travel Service Co., Ltd, has participated the event with honor.
Invited by Yanjing Beer (Guilin Liquan) Co., Ltd, we got a chance to visit this national-wide renowned beer company on February 23rd and team up with the company to plan an entirely new tour in Guilin: Guilin Liquan Natural Beer Tour.
In what way can you relate Lijiang (Li River), ballet and circus with each other in a show? Well, I have to admit that I thought it's just a way of catching people's eyeballs when I saw the name of DREAMLIKE LIJIANG: New Ballet Circus at the entrance of Guilin Dreamlike Lijiang Theater last week for the first time, because it's really hard for me to imagine a scene in which a graceful ballet dancer plays with a comical buffoon by the Li River unless it is a comic stage acting, isn't it?

Top 1: Medog Walking Track - experience an ancient county by foot Medog is famous as one of China's most popular walking tracks for its undeveloped roads. In Tibetan Medog means "hidden lotus flower". This winding Tibetan track takes about 9 days to walk from Linzhi to 80K and take trekkers through some of Tibet's most picturesque plateau landscape. The often erratic weather and difficult walking conditions are best suited to advanced hikers.
