The coming Year 2011 would be the year of lovely rabbit, whose image can be seen everywhere in China during the Chinese New Year 2011 holiday, as a tradition to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, the most important and ceremonious festival in China.
According to our company's custom, we would organize a group outing before the Chinese New Year (in lunar calendar) comes. And staffs of Guilin Tianyuan Travel Service Co., LTD, which VisitOurChina belongs to, enjoyed a happy 2011 group outing this week. We chose Nanning, capital of Guangxi Province, as the destinations. Besides the biggest highlight of our trip the New Year party, we also visited the famed Detian Transnational Waterfall, Tongling Great Canyon and Mingshi Countryside.
In what way can you relate Lijiang (Li River), ballet and circus with each other in a show? Well, I have to admit that I thought it's just a way of catching people's eyeballs when I saw the name of DREAMLIKE LIJIANG: New Ballet Circus at the entrance of Guilin Dreamlike Lijiang Theater last week for the first time, because it's really hard for me to imagine a scene in which a graceful ballet dancer plays with a comical buffoon by the Li River unless it is a comic stage acting, isn't it?
TOP1 BEIJING - Capital of China Capital of China, blend of glorious ancient past and exciting modern development. What a great year I have had in Guilin filled both highs and lows hard study and great travel experiences. Ultimately it is not the places that I visited and travelled to during my twelve month stay in Guilin it was more the people who I travelled with.
On the Christmas Eve of 2010, I started my business trip from Guilin to Huangshan (or Yellow Mountain, Mt. Huangshan). Although I lost the chance to have a Christmas party with my friends at home, I did not feel much regrettable, because this unforgettable trip made my Huangshan travel dream come true. With undiminished excitement for this Mt. Huangshan tour, I hereby would like to share my experience with you.
After being in Guilin for almost a year as a student I have thought through the ten most worthwhile things I have got up to in Guilin: 10. See the city on foot While many visitors come to Guilin to enjoy the amazing beautiful cityscape not everyone get manages to get out of their coach and walk around the city; the best way to experience Guilin is defiantly by foot. Walking by the river on balmy summer nights is the only real way to appreciate the amazing Karst formations that surround the city, walking across through the pedestrian mall is the best way to soak this beautiful city...
It was that time of year when everyone gets together and celebrates Christmas; I was no different, this was the second time that I had celebrated Christmas in China and this time round I headed to the Shangri-la with some American classmates on Christmas Eve, with Christmas Day fully booked out; the Shangri-la is the latest addition to Guilin's cultural landscape, a beautifully designed and constructed hotel, the interior was also remarkably designed with beautiful views over the Li River distant pagodas, this is defiantly the must stay place in Guilin now.
