7 Days Hong Kong-Guilin-Hong Kong Tour with Wonders of Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces

Day 1

Hong Kong Arrival

After your Arrival in Hong Kong, you will be met by your local guide who will then transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the time to explore Hong Kong on your own.

Day 2

Hong Kong (B)

Sightseeing: Aberdeen, Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay

Today we will start to explore Victoria Peak first. The peak is Hong Kong's number one tourist destination. It features the city's oldest mode transport, the 112-year old Peak Tram and Hong Kong's most unusual building and icon and the Peak Tower where you will find shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Then you will visit lovely Repulse Bay: Primarily an exclusive residential area, Repulse Bay has a relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. You will find statues of Kwun Yum and Tin Hau, both protectors of fishermen.

The tour will continue with a visit to Aberdeen fishing village where you will enjoy a Sampan Ride on the harbor to get a close-up look at this unusual way of life.

For the rest of the day you will have leisure time to explore Hong Kong on your own.

Day 3

Hong Kong to Guilin (B)

Sightseeing: Kim Tin Walled Village, Man Mo Temple, Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree

In the morning we will start the tour with Kim Tin Walled Village. In 1899, when the New Territories was leased to British army, the British soldiers met the resisting of the local people. Today, as Kim Tin Walled Village is a frequent destination for foreign visitors, there are old men in country clothes to take photo with in front of the village.

Our next stop will be Man Mo Temple, which is among the oldest and best-known temples in the territory. It was built in 1848, during the early years of British rule in Hong Kong. Though it's been rebuilt a number of times, much of the original structure still remains.

Finally we will see Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree, one of Hong Kong's most famous tourist attractions. It is usually crowded during the Chinese New Year holidays and seems to be covered in deep crimson colors whenever seen from a distance. Only up close, do you realize that the Wishing Tree is actually laden with wishes written on bright red paper. You will be amazed by those traditional places close to a metropolitan city like Hong Kong.

This afternoon, you will be transferred to airprot to take flight and fly to Guilin. After your arrival in Guilin, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our local guide.Feel free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 4

Guilin to Yangshuo to Guilin (B, L)

Sightseeing: Li River Cruise, West Street

Guilin is famous for its picturesque scenery, and the best way to see it is from the deck of Li River Cruise ships. In the morning you will depart from your hotel and be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier (about 1 hour drive) for a 4.5 hours wonderful cruise. You will enjoy the unique mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.

In the afternoon you will disembark at the old town Yangshuo. Having a history of more than 1,400 years, West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo. You will have some time to explore the old town's lovely attractions and will be transferred back to Guilin city in the evening.

Day 5

Guilin to Longsheng to Guilin (B, L)

Sightseeing: Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, Baimian Yao village

This morning, we will drive to Longsheng County which is featured with rich and elegant folk customs. We will take the country road and arrive at Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces which have been called "an absolute one under the heaven and the first one in the world”. The magnificent terraces look like silver belt in sprit, green wave in summer, golden tower in fall and dragon plays in water in winter.

Then we walk towards Yao and Zhuang village. You will experience the village of Red Yao people's community, which is surrounded by beautiful forests.

Later you will be transferred back to Guilin city.

Day 6

Guilin to HongKong (B,L)

Sightseeing: Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave, Seven Star Park

Today you will visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Located at the conjunction of the Li River & the Peach Blossom River, the whole hill looks very much like a giant elephant with a long trunk drinking out of the river; it is the symbol of Guilin city.

Then we will visit Reed Flute Cave, which is a vast and very impressive cave system, and one of the most important sights of Guilin. Known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", you can see beautiful stalactites & stalagmites and learn how they are formed.

Afterwards we will make a walk through Seven Star Park. It is one of the best urban parks in China. The park is in the east bank of Lijiang, the largest park in Guilin with the theme of rock caves.

After the tours, you will be transferred to airprot to take flight to HongKong. Arrive in HongKong, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7

HongKong Departure (B)

Enjoy some leisure time today until your guide will transfer you to the airport where you will pick the flight to your next destination.
