Awoke at 5:30 AM. An early breakfast before we begin our 6 hour drive to Changsha. I'm optimistic about today's weather as I have brought my sunglasses out.
A word about our local guides; they have all be exceptional in every way. Julie in Guilin, Sunny in Xian, and now Melody in Zhangjiajie. All have been more than friendly, very knowledgeable, and so eager to please. We've been very fortunate to have each of them help us in so many ways making this adventure in China so enjoyable. THANKS again to Sandy Ren for setting this up and making it possible.

Awoke at 7 AM. While on this adventure I feel as though I've been eating way to much. Today we are going to have a 'new plan'. 😄 I took a nap following breakfast. This is not the 'new plan'. This morning we had free time as nothing was planned. We checked out of our hotel at 11:45 AM.
When we talk about Zhangjiajie, the first that comes to mind must be the beautiful scenery --the charming nature and the majestic mountains which towering into the sky. The forest park there has not only fresh air but extremely magnificent continuous and lapped limestone peaks. Now an attraction, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, is going to be a new hottest topic of this wonderland.
Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn. When Zhangjiajie steps into spring, it is always full of vigour, birds singing, flowers smelling sweet. Scenic spots such as Ten-mile Gallery, Yellow Dragon Cavern, and Wulingyuan Scenic Area give you surprise from time to time. Plants there will catch your eyes, brilliant-coloured azaleas in particular. They are just stretching under your eyes, and sometimes you will feel as if you were in the flower kingdom!
