Day 1
Arrival Zhangjiajie

Arrive in Zhangjiajie, you will be picked up at airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at the rest of the day.
Day 2
Zhangjiajie (B,L)
Sightseeing: Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen Cave, Zhangjiajie Tujia Folk Garden, Lijunsheng Sandstone Painting Museum
Have a full day tour in Zhangjiajie city. You will visit the Tianmen Mountain. Authorized as a national forest park in 1992, Tianmen Mountain is also known as Heaven Gate Mountain due to the unique natural miracle Tianmen Cave on the mountain, many Chinese believe that the Tianmen Mountain is the “Closest Earth Landmark to Heaven”.
Today you will also visit the Tianmen Cave. Looks like the junction of man's world and the heaven, Tianmen Cave is the highest altitude natural cave in the world. With some 1260 meters elevation, it is on the precipices and has a height of 131.5 meters and a width of 50 meters or so. Visitors need to walk up 999 steps to reach the cave.
Continue to visit Zhangjiajie Tujia Folk Garden, which is a masterpiece of nature and manmade. The garden mainly shows Tujia customs, special stones, root carvings, precious relics and old Tujia folk performances such as Maugusi Dance.
Go ahead to Lijunsheng Sandstone Painting Museum, which was founded by the painter Li Junsheng. Li Junsheng's sandstone paintings break through the using of traditional painting materials and use nature materials by making use of the hue of natural plants creatively, are of great art and collection values.
Day 3
Zhangjiajie (B,L)
Sightseeing: Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain
This morning you will be driven to Wulingyuan, to visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, which becomes more popular as the Southern Sky Pillar in the scenic area inspired the floating mountains in the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar. You will see the First Bridge under Heaven, the Hallelujah Peak and other attractions.
Then you will head for the Tianzi Mountain. Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve is a mesa in the northwest of Wulingyuan. Up on the mesa, the field of vision is widely opened up and it is a perfect location to have a panoramic view of the nature reserve.
Day 4
Zhangjiajie (B,L)
Sightseeing: Huangshi Village, Jinbian Brook
Today you will have a full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You will visit the Huangshi Village(also named Yellow Stone Village). It is a mesa higher on the north side elevated by stiff cliffs. Huangshi Village has the most of marvelous views of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park including Treasure Box of Heavenly Books, Magic Sea-suppressing Needle, South Pillar of Heaven, Golden Tortoise Watching the Sea, etc.
Continue to visit the Jinbian Brook (also named Golden Whip Stream). It covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year and is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle.
Day 5
Departure Zhangjiajie (B)

Sightseeing: Yellow Dragon Cavern, Baofeng Lake
After breakfast check out your hotel and visit the Yellow Dragon Cavern, which is a typical limestone cave. The whole cave has four layers, showing us that ''caves in caves, caves in mountains and rivers in caves''. Geologists from home and abroad unanimously agree that the Yellow Dragon Cavern involves all the knowledge mentioned in speleology with its large scale, diversified landscape and unrivalled beauty.
Then you will visit Baofeng Lake Scenic Area. It is known as a classic lake in the world, and it is also the only water-based tourist attraction in the core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie. The water of the lake is absolutely clean without pollution as it is an alpine lake. Looking down from the hills, the lake is like a jade surrounded by mountains.
After the tour today you will be driven to airport to catch your flight to your next destination.

I have just come back from the most amazing 4 day visit to Guilin and Yangshuo that was organised by VisitOurChina. It was my first trip to China, and researching everything online felt daunting and overwhelming until I communicated with Lisa from VisitChina. She was friendly, patient, and always willing to help us with anything extra we needed or any additional places we wanted to go. We visited Reed Flute Cave, Fubo Hill, Elephant Trunk Hill, and Janet took us to a local place to try the famous and delicious Guilin rice noodles. On the second day, we went to see the spectacular Longji rice terraces and visited the traditional Yao village. On the third day, we went on a cruise along the majestic Li River and stayed in Yangshuo, which became my favourite part of the trip. The bamboo rafting along the Yulong river was the highlight — such stunning and serene scenery. Contacted Lisa from Visit Our China to arrange a 9D8N tour of Guangzhou Guilin for a group of 8. I provided a list of places to visit and Lisa was able to craft out the itinerary. We also made some changes along the way as one of the members had difficulty walking. The member even contacted Lisa to ask for advice on alternative locations to visit.
