Upon your arrival in Beijing you will be greeted by our local guide and then transferred to your hotel by a private air-conditioned car. For the rest of the day you will enjoy some leisure time.

Day 2

Sightseeing: Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace

Today we will visit Tiananmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people.

From here we will walk across the Golden River Bridge to visit the Forbidden City and experience the ancient Emperor's daily life. For 5 centuries Chinese emperors carried out their administration here. With almost 10,000 rooms, it was the centre of the Ming and Qing dynasties, a massive complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was the largest palace in the world, and in the past it was indeed a forbidden place for commoners. Your tour here will include private access to the Emperor's palace.

We will continue by visiting the Summer Palace. Equally famous as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace is called 'Yiheyuan' (Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese. Until nowadays, it is the best preserved and the largest imperial garden in China. You will regret it if you leave Beijing without having visited this grand imperial garden.

Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Sacred Way

After experiencing the royal lifestyle, today we will be transferred to the surrounding countryside of Beijing and visit the Badaling Great Wall, the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Whereas Genghis Khan contemplated it as a military obstacle, Richard Nixon described it as one of humankind's greatest achievements. You will be able to climb and walk one of the best preserved sections of the 2,000 years old ancient wall, admiring the splendid mountain views. Bring a jacket and layer- although it is breezy, the climbing is tough. So be in a good shape!

Sightseeing: the Temple of Heaven

This morning our tour will begin with a visit of the Temple of Heaven, which was completed in 1420, and expanded over the years by two Qing Dynasty Emperors. It was the place where the Emperor came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. With the three blue-tiled cone-shaped roofs, a unique wooden and blue-tiled structure built without a nail, it has become a worldwide symbol of Beijing.

After lunch, the guide will transfer you to airport for flight to Nanchang. Upon arrival, you will be met by Nanchang local tour guide and then be transferred to your hotel.

Sightseeing: Mt. Lushan

After breakfast, transfer to Mt. Lushan, one of the most beautiful mountains of China. Full day guided sightseeing of Mt. Lushan. This Mountain is located in the northern part of Jiangxi Province, to the south of the Yangtze River and northwest of Poyang Lake. The picturesque Mountain is well known in China. The scenic area, covering 302 square km, houses 16 natural wonders, 474 scenic spots and 171 peaks.

The scenery in the Lushan scenic area is breathtaking. It is full of sheer peaks and precipices, changeable clouds and fogs, silver springs and flying waterfalls. The flora is diverse and comprises about 3,000 species. Features of glaciation during the Quaternary Period make Mt. Lushan even more mysterious. There are millions of migratory birds in the Poyang Lake area. The dancing of the largest number of cranes over the water makes it a world wonder.

Lushan abounds in historic and cultural relics. The great historian of the Han Dynasty, Sima Guang, climbed Mt. Lushan, and wrote about it in his classic The Historical Records. Bailudongshuyuan (White Deer Cave Academy) was the most famous of the four biggest academies in ancient China, and enjoys high prestige in the history of Chinese education.

Donglin Temple (East Grove Temple), built by eminent monks in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was the birthplace of the Jintu (Pure Earth) sect of Buddhism. More than 1,500 noted figures in history visited this Mountain, leaving behind some 4,000 pieces of verse and over 900 inscriptions on the cliffs, as well as other writings, prints and calligraphic works. There are about 600 villas here, with the styles of 18 nations and cultures.

Day 6

Mt. Lushan / Nanchang / Xiamen (B, L)

Sightseeing: Poyang Lake,

After breakfast, visit Poyang Lake, it is located in the Jiujiang of Jiangxi Province. It is the largest fresh-water lake in china. The lake has an interesting shape, wide in the south and narrow in the north like a huge gourd tied on the waist of the Yangtze River. Poyang Lake has been nurturing the people in Jiangxi Province and the lake also attracts people from different parts of the world with its beautiful sceneries for thousand of years. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the bank, and visit the most famous scenic Spot-Water Fall of Lushan.

Then you will be transferred back to Nanchang and then proceed to Xiamen by air. Upon arriving, you will be met by Xiamen local tour guide at airport and transfer to a Xiamen hotel.

Day 7

Sightseeing: Gulangyu Island, Sunlight Rock, South Putuo Temple

After breakfast visit the Gulangyu Island and the Sunlight Rock. Gulangyu Island which is located just southwest of Xiamen City. Visitors can reach it by steamship from Xiamen City in about 5 minutes. Gulangyu Island is renowned for its delicate natural beauty, its ancient relics, and its varied architecture. The island is on China's list of National Scenic Spots and also ranks at the top of the list of the ten most-scenic areas in Fujian Province.

Continue visit South Putuo Temple, situated at the foot of Wulao Peak on the southern end of Xiamen it was first built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Later rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), it is now an imposing multi-layered trapezoidal structure that overlooks the sea. The Shrine of Buddhist Scriptures houses a huge collection of Buddhist cultural relics, including a Burmese jade carving of the Buddha and many important Buddhist texts. The temple's Heavenly King Hall, the main prayer hall, the Hall of Great Compassion and the Shrine of Buddhist Scriptures are all graced with painted brackets and upturned eaves. Go shopping at Longtoulu shopping street in the afternoon.

After the tours, you will be transferred to railway station to take the high speed train to Mt.Wuyishan.

Sightseeing: Mt. Wuyishan

Full day guided sightseeing of Mt. Wuyishan and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You will visit the Nine Bend Stream, Wuyi Palace and the Tian You Scenic Area.

The Nine Bend Stream valley covers 8.5 sq km, with a total length of 9.5km. It takes two hours to tour the valley. The stream water is so clear that you can see the stones at the bottom. The clear stream forms a delightful contrast with the red mountains, with each bend having its own unique landscape. On both sides of the Nine Bend Stream stand grotesque rocks. Along the winding stream, there are both shoals and deep pools. Visitors may enjoy themselves in the Wuyishan Scenic Area by taking a boat tour, appreciating the mountains in the distance and visiting caves. Floating on a bamboo raft along the stream, you may raise your head to appreciate the towering mountains, and lower it to listen to the flowing water, and touch it with your hands.

The Wuyi Palace-King Peak Scenic Area, The Wuyi Palace-King Peak Scenic Area has an area of 3.5 sq km, including the following tourist attractions: Wuyi Palace, King Peak, Manting Peak, Sangu Rock, Three Purity Hall, Zhu Xi's Memorial Hall, Wanchun Garden and Song Dynasty Street. The place in front of the Wuyi Palace and near the outlet of the Nine Bend Stream is where emperors used to offer sacrifices to Lord Wuyi. The Wuyi Palace is one of the six famous Taoist temples in China. Some ancient scholars, such as Xin Qiji, Lu You and Zhu Xi, once served as supervisors here. The King Peak towers like a huge pillar supporting Heaven. The peak is surrounded by sheer precipices and overhanging rocks. There is only one path, from the south, leading to the top of the peak.

The Heaven Hearts-Tianyou Scenic Area .With an area of 4.5 sq km, this scenic spot includes Nine Dragon Cave, Red Robe Tea Tree and Tianxin Yongle Buddhist Temple. It is a place sacred to Buddhism.
The Red Robe Tea Tree, known as the "King of Tea Trees", stands at the foot of Nine Dragon Rock, There is water dripping down all the year round from a long and narrow crack in the rocks on both sides of the tree. The adequate sunshine and small temperature changes year round enable the tree to produce high quality tea with a unique flavor.

Day 9

Mt. Wuyishan / Fuzhou (B, L)

Sightseeing: Yixiantian, Huxiao Rock and Dingming Bridge

After breakfast, visit the Yixiantian, Huxiao Rock and Dingming Bridge. Then you will be transferred to railway station to take the high speed train to Fuzhou.

Free at leisure in Fuzhou, Then be met and transferred from your hotel to airport for your flight to next destination.

We will visit the The Temple of Heaven in the morning. After lunch, the guide will transfer you to airport for flight to Nanchang. Arrive in Nanchang, be met and transferred to hotel.

Jiujiang/Nanchang/Xiamen

After breakfast, visit Poyanghu Lake; enjoy the beautiful scenery on the bank, and visit the most famous scenic Spot-Water Fall of Mt. Lushan. Transfer back to Nanchang and then proceed to Xiamen by air. Arrive in Xiamen, be met and transfer to a Xiamen hotel.
