Zhangjiajie lies in northwest Hunan province. The whole area is of a primitive limestone landscape, home to more than 500 species of trees and animals. The famous World Geo-park Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie is mainly divided into four parts: Zhangjiajie National Park, Tianzishan Nature Reserve, Suoxiyu Nature Reserve and Yangjiajie Scenic Area. This tour covers the former two parts, which are also the most popular tourist attractions in Zhangjiajie among visitors.

Day 1

Arrival Zhangjiajie

Upon your arrival in Zhangjiajie, you will be met by you local guide and then be transferred to the hotel. Enjoy some leisure time for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Sightseeing: Huangshi Village, Jinbian Brook

Today you will have a full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You will visit the Huangshi Village (also named Yellow Stone Village). It is a mesa higher on the north side elevated by stiff cliffs. Huangshi Village has the most of marvelous views of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park including Treasure Box of Heavenly Books, Magic Sea-suppressing Needle, South Pillar of Heaven, Golden Tortoise Watching the Sea, etc.

Continue to visit the Jinbian Brook (also named Golden Whip Stream). It covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year and is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle.

Sightseeing: Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain

This morning you will visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, which becomes more popular as the Southern Sky Pillar in the scenic area inspired the floating mountains in the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar. You will see the First Bridge under Heaven, the Hallelujah Peak and other attractions.

Then you will head for the Tianzi Mountain. Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve is a mesa in the northwest of Wulingyuan. Up on the mesa, the field of vision is widely opened up and it is a perfect location to have a panoramic view of the nature reserve.

Today will be free for your own purposes, until your guide escort you to the airport for your next destination.
