Day 1
Arrival Chengdu

Upon your arrival in Chengdu you will be met by your local guide and then be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2
Chengdu / Leshan / Mt. Emei (B, L)
Transfer via: Private vehicle on our arrangement
Sightseeing: Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base, Leshan Giant Buddha
In the morning, we will tour to see the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base, which was built to imitate the wild ecological environment of pandas. It covers a space of 92 acres, with a green coverage of 96 percent. The base created a perfect ecological environment for the living and breeding of pandas and other precious and rare wild animals. It breeds over 20 pandas and lesser pandas, black-necked cranes, white cranes and others.
After lunch, you will be transferred Leshan to visit the world heritage of Leshan Giant Buddha, the duration on the car will last about 1.5-2 hours, you will take the river cruise for about 1 hour at the Leshan Giant Buddha, if you are on the mountain, you can only see the face or feet of the Giant Buddha, but on a river cruise, the Giant Buddha will be a touchable complete picture for you, so enjoy it.
After the tried but great tour to see Pandas and the Giant Buddha, you will be sent to Emeishan directly for rest and preparative for the tour at Mt. Emei the next day.
Day 3
Mt. Emei / Chengdu (B, L)

Sightseeing: Mt. Emei
Today you will have a full day tour to see the Emeishan, which is full of the ancient culture, myth and stories. You will visit the Baoguo Temple and enjoy the famous golden top of Mt Emei, the mountain is towering, beautiful, old and mysterious. Seeing its winding and beautiful figure, you will find that it resembles an eyebrow of a girl. It is the highest one among all the famous sight-seeing mountains in China. Its main peak, the Golden Summit, is 3079.3 meters (10,103 feet) above the sea level, seemingly reaching the sky. Standing on the top of it, you can enjoy the snowy mountains in the west and the vast plain in the east.
After the tour of Emeishan, you will be transferred back to Chengdu for rest and finish the tour outside Chengdu city.
Day 4
Chengdu (B, L)
Sightseeing: Jinli Acient Street, Kuanzhai Alley of Chengdu.
Today will be the most special highlights of this short 5 days tour of Chengdu, you will experience the real local culture and interesting places other than those old and well known sightseeing like the Wuhou Memorial Temple, Dufu Thatched Cottage, etc. Instead you will enjoy the ancient Chengdu street of Jinli Acient Street, and something familar with the Beijing Hutongs, the Kuanzhai Alley of Chengdu.
Day 5
Departure Chengdu (B)
Transfer via: Flight on your arrangement
Today you can enjoy some leisure time until your guide will pick you up and transfer you to the airport from where you will take the flight to your next destination.

D. Guide and Driver: As outlined in the itinerary, a well selected English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
E. Hotels: Hotel Based on two persons sharing one room with twin beds. All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
F. Luggage Transfers: Between airports and hotels.

How to navigate China for the second time after 45 years for a couple over 70 years old? We spent part of our honeymoon in China in 1978 together with a Spanish speaking tour group when China just opened its door to the outside world. It was the era of "Friendship stores" and "food ration coupons". Tourists could only shop at government designated stores and the ordinary local people lived on rationed food, notwithstanding, tourists were treated with the highest honor and the best of everything including food. By then, the main transportation tool in cities were bicycles. From balconies of hotels, we saw never ending long queue of people on bicycles heading to work every morning. Since then, China has developed into a super modern and industrialized country. Shopping is a bliss nowadays. Motorized vehicles and lots of EV has replaced a huge part of the fleet of human-driven bicycles since. Infrastructure-wise China is the pioneer nowadays. Over the years, the only retained memories are the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Pandas. There was an incident which I could not forget either. We went to a theater at night for an opera and I lost my wallet with all my documents and some money ( a small fortune for the Chinese people by then). I was very nervous and didn't know what to do. When we got back to the hotel, my wallet was waiting for me at the reception. Somebody found it at the theatre and sent it to the hotel where we were lodged. Everything was back, nothing missing. Again, it was 1978! Impressed! So, we wanted to visit China again to revive the lost sweet memories and hoping to gain more of them. Being seniors, we don't have the energy to follow a vigorous group tour anymore. Could we plan and schedule our own tour in this wonderland like the modern China? The answer is simple, No!
