Chengdu's First Polar Ocean World Opens

Chengdu Haichang Polar Ocean World opened recently and became the first ocean park in southwest China with large polar animals, marine animals, and a marine life display.
The polar ocean park was established by Dalian Haichang Group Company. With an investment of nearly CNY2 billion, the park is located in Chengdu's Huayang Town and covers an area of 240,000 square meters.
The five core areas in the park are: Polar Animal Display Area, Whale and Dolphin Arena, Fun Theater, Marine Animal Display Area, and Island Recreation Area.
The park is expected to attract more than three million visitors a year.
