Shanghai Airports Report 48% Increase in Passenger Traffic

Shanghai Airport Authority recently announced that June 2010 passenger traffic rose by 48.37% year on year to 3.558 million, and cargo traffic increased 35.92% to 267,900 metric tons.
A statement from SAA says the number of domestic passengers grew by 42% from the previous year to 1.862 million, while cargo traffic declined by 1.92% to 30,600 metric tons.
The statement added that international passenger traffic and cargo volumes rose by 54.14% and 41.02% from the previous year to 1.216 million and 19.94 metric tons.
SAA operates Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, which are the city's two main airports.
