Shanxi Taiyuan Adopts Tourism E-contract
updated: 2010-05-07
Taiyuang, the capital city of Shanxi province, has become the first Chinese city to promote electronic tourism contract. And more than 200 travel agencies and 300 travel agency outlets will adopt these e-contracts.
Wang Bingfu, the director of Taiyuan Tourism Administration Tourism Information Center, stated that e-contracts will be the only legal and valid contracts approved by the administration. Agencies not using e-contracts will be punished. Agencies have to apply for e-contracts online whether they are organizing or receiving tour groups. Information about the size of tour group, tourist attractions, tourist bus, driver, tour guide, and schedule should be included in the contract.
The administration reminds tourists to sign tourism contracts with travel agencies and to check the legitimacy of agencies through the Taiyuan tourism information website tylyhy.cn.
