New Policy for Train Tickets Refund and Change in China

News from China Railway Corporation that from Sep 1 railway departments will carry out new refund and change policy for train tickets. With the new policy, passages can refund or change their tickets at any railway station in China, instead of refunding or changing at appointed station within specific time stated in the old policy.
Echelon refund scheme will be adopted in the new policy. 5% of the train tickets fare will be charged as the refund fee provided that passages refund 48 hours before the train departing time; 10% of the tickets fare will be charged for refunding at the time more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours before the train departing time; 20% of the tickets fare will be charged if passages refund at the time less than 24 hours before the train departing time.
