The provincial government of Guizhou schedules to add 200 hotels of three-star grade or above in the province by 2015, in a bid to cope with the fast-developing tourism industry.
According to available statistics, Guizhou is now constructing 91 hotels of three-star grade or above, 48 of which are five-star hotels.
After completion, the province's tourism capacity will be greatly expanded to meet the rising demand resulting from the fast-developing tourism industry.
The province aims to increase the number of available rooms from the current 24,000 to more than 60,000 in this timeframe.
So far, the province has attracted several global hotel brand management companies, including Sheraton, Hyatt, Hilton, Kempinski, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Shangri-La.
