Xiamen Airport Passenger Throughput Hits 13.21 Million in 2010

Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport recently revealed that it handled nearly 13.21 million passengers in 2010, 16.58% more than in the same period of the previous year.
In 2010, the airport handled an average of more than 36,000 passengers per day. In December, the airport's passenger throughput hit 1.13 million, with the airport surpassing the 1 million mark for 10 months in a row.
In the meantime, Xiamen Airport's mail and cargo throughput rose 25.3% year on year in 2010, exceeding that of Nanjing Airport.
In 2009, Xiamen airport was China's 10th busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic, the 11th busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic, and the 15th busiest airport by traffic movements.
