It took us awhile to get home!  We flew from Shanghai to Tokyo and our plane took off from Tokyo but had to turn around and come back because of problems.  So, we stayed the night in Tokyo and left the next day.  The airline put us in a hotel and gave us food and two $100 vouchers to use so it wasn't all bad.  It took a few days to recover but we are good now.

So, the trip was fantastic.  You were fantastic, the guides were fantastic.  I wanted to give a brief feeling about each guide below:

Beijing - Laura - what an energetic, fun young woman!  She took care of us from the minute we stepped off the plane.  She made sure to tell us to get rest and take our time getting used to the time difference.  If we needed something, she helped us.  When we had to get on the train, she went with us, helped us get put with some nice Chinese ladies (one of whom spoke English) in our sleeper.  We all know the hard sleeper was not so great and we totally understand you had no control over that.  But Laura really made sure we were taken care of and safe.  Then for you to get us a refund AND put us up in a fantastic hotel in Tibet was quite gracious of you.

Tibet - Pentok is an amazing, knowledgeable young man.  He was also very nice and took care of us from start to finish.  He was kind enough to answer all of our questions about Tibet and put more information in our heads than one could ever imagine.  I would go back to Tibet in a minute as long as he was my guide.  So, I think a longer Tibet trip down the Friendship Highway into Kathmandu will be in order one of these years (as well as a visit to your city!).

Xi'an - Nicholle - wonderful, knowledgeable, "Xi'an girl" that once again took great care of us.  We went to a dinner show and even though she didn't have to stay and make sure we were okay, she did and then waited and took us back with the bus to the hotel - made for a very long day for her.  But did it all with a smile on her face. 

Shanghai - Jackie - even though he is not from Shanghai, he knew everything one could know and more about that city.  He also took us to a night show and made sure we were all taken care of.  Energetic, fun, and caring.  It was raining the day we got to Shanghai and we had to do some rearranging of the schedule but he was never bothered by that one bit.

All the guides were on-time, friendly, extremely caring, and just wonderful.  I would recommend your agency to anyone. Most of us in the group are seasoned travelers and probably would have been mostly fine on our own but with their help, it really made the difference in our enjoyment of China.  For someone that is not a seasoned traveller, I would have no problem telling them to use Visit Our China as the guides are going to do everything they can to help you and not leave you feeling stranded in a foreign land.

I do have one question for you.  What airline did we fly on from Lhasa to Xi'an?  I get miles through some Chinese airlines but wasn't sure who we flew on.
