Yarkand Cuisine

Noodle is the main food in the local's daily life, containing local roast crusty pancakes, stretched noodles, local Pilaf (use your hands instead of ladle or fork when having it), stuffed buns... As for meat, it is common to have beef, mutton, horseflesh, camel meat, chicken, duck and fish. Besides, melons, fruits and local milky tea are all very popular among people (Taboo in food: pork, donkey meat, dog meat or dead animals that suffer from non-natural death, and so on).
