Wolong Weather

Wolong Nature Reserve is located to the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its geographic location and terrain determine that it has a subtropical inland mountain climate. Winter (November-April next year) is sunny and dry under the influence of dry and cold west wind, and occasionally has snowfall or rain with the advance and retreat of cold front. Summer is warm and humid when the southeast monsoon encounters with cold air from mountains. With the rising of elevation, climate varies sharply from valley to mountain top, ranging from subtropical, temperate, cold temperate, to extremely cold. "One mountain has four seasons and temperature is different in ten miles" is a sentence to describe the vertical climate of Wolong. Average temperature of July is around 17℃ and January 1℃. Due to weather changes, you are advised to bring warm clothing, no matter what the season is.
