Beijing Has Its First Local Airline

Deer Air, a member of the HNA Group, has changed its name to Capital Airlines, and, on behalf of Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Tourism Group will invest in the new airline, which will become the first local airline in Beijing.

The business of Capital Airlines includes high-end business jets, tourist charters, and regular routes. Currently its scheduled air routes include Beijing to Urumqi and Hohhot, Beijing to Jixi, and Beijing to Baotou.

According to an official from HNA the new airline will apply for more scheduled routes after its establishment, and will pay more attention to tourist charter and business charter through the business integration with BTG.

In addition, Capital Airlines will also be involved in general aviation businesses such as air medical services, air tours, aerial photography, and aerial advertising.
