created: 2009-06-11

Expecting to be the largest Expo in history, the World Expo 2010 Shanghai will finally start selling tickets for 160 yuan (US$23.5) each. These tickets are group tickets. There will be various discounts for seniors, disabled people, students, children and soldiers, which will be revealed at a later date. Tickets to night shows will also be at a cheaper price, for avoiding excessive crowds during the day. It is estimated that 400,000 people will visit the Expo daily during the 184 days with a peak of 800,000 visitors on certain days.

Exposition 2010 will attract governments and people from across the world, focusing on the theme "Better City, Better Life." The 2010 Shanghai Expo is the first World Expo in China, and is likely going to be one with the most visitors and participants. The Exposition will be the first registered World Exposition in a developing country, which gives expression to the expectations the world's people place on China's future development.
