United Airlines is to Offer Non-stop Chengdu-San Francisco Service

Brian Andrew Znotins, VP Sales of United Airlines in Asia-Pacific and Atlantic Regions announced at press conference in the end of August that United Airlines is to offer non-stop Chengdu-San Francisco flights from June 11, 2014.
United Airlines plans to offer direct flights from Chengdu to San Francisco on each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while the return flights from San Francisco will be on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, by then, only about 14 hours will be needed between two cities.
"The non-stop Chengdu-San Francisco air route will be the first one across the Pacific Ocean from Chengdu, and Chengdu will then become the fourth Chinese city after Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to have direct flight to the United States" said by Liu Shoucheng, deputy mayor of Chengdu.
