25th November, 2012 is the Miao's New year's Day. More than forty thousand Miao people in Leishan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou province gathered together to hold celebration ceremony for their New Year’s Day. it is reported that the Miao's New year's Day is the most grand traditional festival for the ethnic Miao minority in China. And in 2006, the Miao's New year's Day was designated as the intangible cultural heritage at national level.
