Sanya Announces Room Rates Guidance for 88 Hotels

The Sanya Commodity Price Control Bureau recently released guidance on the room rates to be charged by 88 hotels during the coming 2011 Boao Forum and May Day Holiday.
The bureau said that the first batch of 88 hotels are 11 hotels in Yalong Bay, 18 hotels in Sanya Bay, 18 hotels in Dadonghai area, 38 hotels in downtown Sanya, and three hotels in other areas.
During the period of the 2011 Boao Forum from April 14 and April 16, the average hotel rates in Sanya will increase 4% to CNY1,108 per night compared to the basic price on March 5th. During the May Day Holiday from May 1 to May 3, the average hotel rates will increase 8.6% to CNY1,156.
According to the bureau, during these periods, the highest room rate will be CNY67,620 per night while the lowest will be CNY66.
The bureau also revealed that more information on hotels room rates will be announced in the near future.
