Shanghai Airport Authority Announces Latest Figures

Recently Shanghai Airport Authority released statistics about its passenger traffic, cargo output and aircraft movements for October 2010.
The company said in a statement that October passenger traffic at the city's two main airports, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, rose 28.93% year on year to about 3.89 million. Cargo traffic increased 9.3% to about 285,700 tons.
The total number of aircraft takeoffs and landings grew 18.21% year on year to 2,940 in October.
The authority is the operator of the city's two major airports, which are the busiest in China.
