Shanghai Airports See 35.9% Increase in September Traffic

Shanghai Airport Authority recently announced that its passenger traffic, cargo output and aircraft movements reached a growth of 35.9% in September 2010.
The authority said in a statement that in September 2010 passenger traffic at the city's two main airports, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, rose 35.9% year on year to 3.72 million. Cargo traffic increased 11.28% to 276,300 tons.
The total number of aircraft takeoffs and landings grew 18.21% year on year to 2,940 in September.
Shanghai Airport Authority is the operator of the city's two airports which are amongst the busiest ones in China.
