Day 2
Nanjing (B, L)
Sightseeing: Dr. Sun-Yat Sen's Mausoleum, Confucius Temple, Qinhuai River
First you will visit Dr. Sun-Yat Sen's Mausoleum, Known as "Zhongshan Ling" in Chinese, it is situated on Zhongshan Mountain (Bell Mountain) in the eastern suburb of Nanjing. The mountain is also called Zijin Moutain (The Purple Gold Mountain) because of the purple clouds that often hang over its peaks. The mausoleum contains the mortal remains of the father of modern China. The plane of entire mausoleum ensemble looks like an alarm bell with a far-reaching significance.
Then we continue to visit the Confucius Temple, Consisting of 3 architectural complexes, Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) was originally built in 1034. Enjoy yourself here, since the entire area around the temple consists of a series of tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and entertainment arcades all being decorated in "Ming" and "Qing" style.
Afterwards visit Qinhuai River. The Qinhuai River used to be called Huai Water, and was renamed Qinhuai for the legend that Qin Emperor Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), ordered to introduce Huai Water to the city by excavating a mountain. It is a branch of the Yangtze River, running about 110 kilometers, a major watercourse around Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It was very famous in the history but lost its fame due to wars, which destroyed many buildings along both banks. The water became filthy and no sign of wealth could be found anymore. After repair and restoration in 1985, the river became a beautiful resort.
Day 3
Nanjing (B, L)
Sightseeing: Presidential Mansion, Memorial Hall to the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre, Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge
After breakfasts, you wil visit the Presidential Mansion. In the heart of Nanjing's downtown, amdist skyscrapers and bustling boutiques, the Presidential Mansion (Zongtong Fu) is a fascinating witness to some of the most tumultuous events of the last two centuries of Chinese history. The huge complex covers several city blocks, and ranges from classical gardens to neo-European villas and administrative buildings.
Then we will go to the Memorial Hall to the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre. The hall was dedicated to the victims of the appalling Nanjing Massacre committed by the Japanese army during World War Two. The suppressed historical sorrow displayed and the somber atmosphere reflected always evokes passionate feelings of "no more wars" among its visitors.
Afternoon, we will move on to Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. The Bridge is the first bridge to be built across the Yangtze River in Nanjing. It was completed in 1968 and is the first double-decker, double-track highway and railway bridge designed and constructed by the Chinese without outside engineering assistance.

Lisa from Visit Our China is awesome! She answers messages promptly and replies to emails within the day. Planning for my trip to Chongqing with my elderly parents was a breeze thanks to her efficiency. The prices of show tickets and Yangtze River cruise were cheaper than what I could get online. She even came personally to greet us in Guilin when I visited Guilin in September. Will definitely be asking her to plan all of my China trips from now on!

Contacted Lisa from Visit Our China to arrange a 9D8N tour of Guangzhou Guilin for a group of 8. I provided a list of places to visit and Lisa was able to craft out the itinerary. We also made some changes along the way as one of the members had difficulty walking. The member even contacted Lisa to ask for advice on alternative locations to visit. Lisa's response is within 24 hours, crystal clear and very open for discussions. The tour itself ran perfectly with English speaking guides in both locations. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and gave in-depth details of the various locations which we visited. They were patient and obliged with taking photos for us. Overall, great customer experience. Am already working with Lisa for our next China trip!

During the trip, service levels of the tour guides and drivers were excellent. They always made sure we were safe and comfortable. Will be looking to book with Lisa again in our future China trips.

We (8 pax seniors) had a truly memorable 11-day tour covering Shanghai, Wuxi, Wuzhen, Hangzhou, and Huangshan Mountain in mid-October 2025. A big thank you to Lisa for her well-planned and thoughtful itinerary. She was patient in accommodating all our requests and consistently checked in on our well-being throughout the trip — even though the assigned guide and driver were already very caring and knowledgeable. Lisa is someone who genuinely goes the extra mile, and her dedication made our trip smooth and enjoyable. We will definitely seek her service again for our next adventure in China!

Will for sure contact VOC again for future trips we may consider. We contacted Lisa for a trip to Changbaishan early september 2025 and an other one to Zhangjiajie in October. Lisa offers were in line with our expectations. She has been continuously helpful before and during our trips. Everything went well during both trips and our guides managed to arrange suitable visits, despite the not so good weather conditions we faced. Aa a whole we did really enjoy those trips. Guides, hatel accomodations, transports have all been fine and we definitely recommend and will for sure contact VOC again for future trips we may consider.
