The Huaqing Pools were unexpectedly fascinating, the Terra-cotta Warrior complex exceeded our high expectations.
Dear Sandy,
The tour guide was considerate of the possibility that we might be too tired on our first afternoon in China. However, he very flexibly agreed to tour the Shaanxi History museum then and was very helpful in clarifying information beyond the museum's good co-labeling in English.
The Huaqing Pools were unexpectedly fascinating, the Terra-cotta Warrior complex exceeded our high expectations, we had a fine lunch, and the Shaanxi History museum was a trove of archeological treasures. We walked from the Terra-cotta complex's parking lot instead of paying for the shuttle bus -- not sure whether that was included, but we wanted to walk anyway. In the evening we went walking out by ourselves on the Muslim Street (Beiyanmen Street), very crowded and very interesting. Perhaps Zou can explain some of the street foods we saw!...
