Itinerary:
Pick up from your hotel, and then drive to Suzhou, a historical city nearby Shanghai and widely known for its classic gardens, canals, lakes, operas, legends and museums. You'll start with the best of Suzhou's many famed gardens, Lion Grove Garden, and then visit Hanshan Temple. Hanshan Temple is famed in East Asia because of the poem “Night Mooring at Maple Bridge” by a Tang Dynasty poet, Zhang Ji. He describes the melancholy scene of himself as a dejected traveler, moored at night at Fengqiao, hearing the bells from Hanshan Temple. Since Suzhou is also famous for its silks, you will have some time to see how Chinese silk is produced at Suzhou No. 1 Silk Factory. Continue to stroll along the ShanTang Ancient Street after lunch and then have a Grand Canal Boat Tour to get closer touch of Suzhou old town. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel or designated place in downtown Shanghai before 6:00pm.

ShanTang Ancient Street: There is a saying going like this “if you didn’t visit the ShanTan Street, then you would miss Suzhou's full view”. ShanTang Street will trace you back the original life of ancient Suzhou.
Grand Canal: One part of the world-famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the earliest and longest manmade watercourse in the world that has made enormous contribution to the communication between North and South China. The 40 minutes boat tour will definitely feast your eyes on the bustling water traffic and the enthralling waterside scenery.
