Shenzhen Airport Passenger Traffic Up 12% in August 2010

The operator of Shenzhen International Airport has published statistics on aircraft movements in August 2010.
During August passenger traffic at Shenzhen Airport rose 11.9% from a year earlier to 2.37 million, and the cargo throughput was about 70,500 tons, 32.1% more than in the same period in the previous year. The number of aircraft takeoffs and landings rose by 9.7% year on year to 18,900.
The statistics also showed that the airport's passenger traffic rose 11.9% to 17.91 million in the period from January to August 2010.
As of the end of August, cargo traffic rose by 38.4% year on year to 51,680 tons while the number of aircraft movements rose 9.8% to 14,560.
