Another festival for beer lovers in Beijing has also kicked off at Villa Castanea, a cozy club near the Fragrant Hills.
The Fragrant Hill German Fresh Beer Garden Festival opened last Friday with Bavarian-style carnival tents and a variety of German beers brewed on-site.
Visitors to the festival, which runs until Sept. 24, will also be able to try some German broiled dishes and hear traditional German live music. There is also a contest with a grand prize of a free trip to Munich for Oktoberfest in October.
For the Mid-Autumn Festival, the festival will have a live Chinese folk music show on Sept. 12.
