In order to promote the natural beauty of Xinjiang and its oil industry culture, the 7th Xinjiang International Tourism Festival opened on Saturday in Karamay, one of China's major oil producing and refinery centers in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Over 40 foreign diplomatic envoys from 25 countries, as well as many local and overseas officials from travel authorities, were invited to be present at the opening ceremony.
The festival also attracted more than 200 travel agencies from home and abroad.
