Yangtze River Delta Gets First Route to Africa

Ethiopian Airlines has started a regular air service between Hangzhou and Addis Ababa, making Hangzhou the third Chinese city that has flights to Africa. It will be the first scheduled flight to Africa from the Yangtze River Delta region.
The schedule is for five flights week with flight numbers ET688/689. The flight will 13 hours and 45 minutes for the journey from Hangzhou to Addis Ababa, and 12 hours and 35 minutes from Addis Ababa to Hangzhou.
Ethiopia's Ambassador to China, Seyoum Mesfin, revealed that Hangzhou was chosen as the first destination for Ethiopian Airlines in the Yangtze River Delta because of Zhejiang province's prosperous economy and unique location. It is learned that there are thousands of Africans doing business in Yiwu, and many Zhejiang locals would like to invest in, or travel to, Africa.
