Hainan Airlines First with Five-Stars

Hainan Airlines, the largest non-state-owned carrier in mainland China, has been certified as a world Five-Star Airline by Skytrax in recognition of its leading-edge product and service quality.
 
The Chinese carrier said on its website that it is the seventh Five-Star airline in the world and the first airline in mainland China to earn the Five-Star airline certification of Skytrax.
 
The airline's statement said that Hainan Airlines has been recognized by the Skytrax organization as an airline that is delivering a truly world-class package, but having the strength and conviction to deliver this with the very best attributes of Chinese culture and hospitality.
 
Established in 1989, Skytrax, a British-based consultancy, is the public face of Inflight Research Services conducting research for commercial airlines. It carries out international-traveler surveys to find the best cabin staff, airport, airline, airline lounge, in-flight entertainment, on-board catering, and several other aspects of air travel.
