Hilton Worldwide Opens First Conrad in Mainland China

Hilton Worldwide has opened its first luxury Conrad property in mainland China, alongside a Doubletree Resort by Hilton in Haitang Bay in Sanya of Hainan Island, which is the group's sixth Doubletree in China.

 

Commenting on the opening Martin Rinck, the president Asia Pacific for Hilton Worldwide, said that the groups presence in China continues to grow and Hilton is honored to be the first to provide the ultimate in world-class luxury hospitality and service in Haitang Bay. He added that the opening of the two hotels was a significant milestone for the group.

 

Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay is the first of Hilton's luxury Conrad properties to open in mainland China and Doubletree Resort by Hilton Sanya Haitang Bay is the first Doubletree in Sanya. The two properties will cater to the needs of different segments of the increasing number of travelers to this fast-growing resort destination.

 

Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay has 101 villas and rooms overlooking the ocean, lagoons, or gardens. Each villa has a private pool, sun lounger, cabana, and is surrounded by lush foliage for privacy. Guests also enjoy additional access to two large outdoor common pools.

 

The property has four restaurants and bars: the all-day dining restaurant Teatro offering international cuisine as well as Asian and Western dishes from an open kitchen; La Chine serving contemporary Hainan and Cantonese cuisine; Senses, a speciality restaurant featuring local seafood. The Vue Lounge offers an alfresco setting with panoramic ocean views and seves afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

 

Recreation facilities include a 435-meter white sandy beach and two outdoor swimming pools. The property also features a fully equipped fitness centre, tennis courts, and a kids club as well as a spa.

 

For meetings and events there is 1,290-square meter Grand Ballroom with a 440-square meter foyer.

 

The 463-room Doubletree Resort by Hilton Sanya Haitang Bay offers guests a choice of eight room categories consisting of 96 Ocean View rooms, 127 Grand Ocean View rooms, 44 Lagoon Access rooms, and 16 Lifestyle Beachfront Suites. Each room features a private balcony, a bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, LCD flat screen TV with satellite channels, international direct dial telephone and high speed Internet access.

 

The hotel provides dedicated 24-hour room service including laundry and valet services. Non-allergenic pillows, bed boards and baby cots are also available upon request.
