Mainland Visitors to Hong Kong Up 21% During Golden Week

According to Hong Kong Tourism Board, in step with the increasing numbers of tourists traveling to mainland China the number of mainland tourists visiting Hong Kong rose about 21% year on year to 662,248.
HKTB reports that a single-day high of 117,409 tourist arrivals was recorded on October 1, 2010.
About 465,606 mainland tourists traveled to Hong Kong on the individual visit scheme, accounting for 70% of the total number of mainland visitors and up by 21% compared to 2009.
