Just wanted to say thank you again for the trip and happy new years to you and your staff.

We are in Japan just now on our way home to a 'warm island'...it was certainly cold in China...but nice enough...we did get to see the snow come down in Xian so that was nice.

I did fill out your guides leval forms for each of them, however I wanted to just add a few comments here for your review.

In Beijing, Henry our guide was great!...his knowledge of the area and especially the history of China is something to be commended. As someone who has spent 30yrs in education I would say that Henry would make an excellent University History professor. There was hardly a building he did not know what was going on inside and its history. He was very polite and quite reserved and stayed close by for our every need which was comforting, but still gave us space when we needed it to explore on our own. The driver was fine also, however, we didn't really get to have much conversation.

In Shanghai, Karl our guide was also great, he was always smiling and quite friendly, I sensed the difference between him and Henry may have been that Shanghai is quite a modern city and so Karl was very outgoing where Henry was reserved. Karl also knew the city very well and could easily promote the future of his city Shanghai and its history. He took us to some great places and was very flexible whenever we wanted to stay a bit longer at one place or another and stayed close. The driver was also quite helpful, although again, not much conversation with him.

The Shangahi hotel was great also....great location and an easy walk to everything....the Bund is beautiful.

Well I guess thats enough information for you....I hope you enjoyed reading it....and I look forward to telling my friends to give you a call when they are planning a trip to China!
