Day 1

Day 1 Guilin Arrival
Arrive in Guilin. Be met and transferred to check in your hotel.
Day 2 One day coach group tour to Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces (L)
Take the country road to Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces to experience the distinct colors that change over the seasons. Known as Longji Rice Terraces in Chinese, they were first established in the 13th-Century and completed at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty of 1644-1911.
The magnificent terraces scatter at an altitude of between 980 feet (300 meters) and 6,600 feet (1,100 meters) above sea level, and at a maximum gradient of 50 degrees, creating a tremendous scenic area of some 25 square miles (66 square kilometers).
As the seasons change, the terraces take on a shifting colorful aspect, from the silver of spring, to a golden color in the fall. In the summer they are lush and green, while in the winter they resemble dragons playing in water.
You will also visit a Yao village, and a village of the Zhuang ethnic minority to experience the culture and life of the friendly villagers. Enjoy their beautiful songs, costumes, and delicious food as you explore the sublime landscape.
You will then be transferred back to your hotel in Guilin.
Day 3 One day Li River cruise coach group tour (L)
Guilin is famous for its picturesque scenery, and the best way to see it is from the deck of Li River Cruise ships. In the morning you will depart from your hotel and be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier (about 1 hour drive) for a 4.5 hours wonderful cruise. You will enjoy the unique mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
In the afternoon you will disembark at the old town Yangshuo. Having a history of more than 1,400 years, West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo. You will have some time to explore the old town's lovely attractions.
After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel and finish the tour today.
Day 4 Full day city coach group tour (L)
In the morning you will visit Reed Flute Cave, which is a vast and very impressive cave system, and one of the most important sights of Guilin. Known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", the cave is a beautiful display of stalactites & stalagmites.
Then you will visit Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin city located at the conjunction of the Li River & the Peach Blossom River. The whole hill looks very much like a giant elephant with a long trunk drinking out of the river.
You’ll continue to visit Fubo Hill, to see lots of rock stone carvings & Buddha statues from since Tang Dynasty. If climb to the summit, you will have a wonderful bird's-eye view of Guilin city.
Afterwards we will make a walk through Seven Star Park. It is one of the best urban parks in China. The park is in the east bank of Lijiang, the largest park in Guilin with the theme of rock caves.
After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel and finish the tour today.
Day 5 Guilin Departure
Feel leisure till be transferred to airport to catch your departure flight.

Thanks Lisa! It was a great trip. Luther is an excellent guide, very helpful and proactive. Ms Xuli is very knowledgeable, unfortunately our mandarin is functional at best, so she had to explain a lot of the cultural references she was using. Simon managed to last minute closures and changes well. We learnt a lot, ate a lot (really liked the lunch at Yibin, ciqikou and dinner Lizhuang). Next time I will factor in more time for shopping.
