China Opens Website For Tour Guides

A website for tour guides that was developed by the National Tourism Administration of China, tourguide.net.cn, was officially launched at the beginning of November 2009.
As an important part of an overall travel service, a tour guide service is also a key factor in improving the quality of travel services quality. The new site is designed to be a platform for tour guides to exchange views and to learn from each other, and also will provide new management methods and services for administrative departments.
The website has six columns: industry news; a forum; public services; training and examination information; and a special column that will allow tourists and tourism related departments and organizations, such as travel agencies, to publish comments on tour guides.
