BTA Signs Framework Agreement With Seychelles Tourism Board
updated: 2009-10-23
Beijing Tourism Administration and Seychelles Tourism Board have signed a framework agreement on tourism promotion at the first Seychelles Tourism Seminar held in Fengtai, Beijing.
Seychelles and China entered into a policy abolishing visas in 1992. According to the policy, holders of Chinese diplomatic visas or business visas enjoy visa-free access to Seychelles.
Reports say many travel agencies now have group tour and independent routes for Seychelles. But due to the lack of publicity most Chinese knew a little about the island nation.
Currently there are no direct flights between China and the Seychelles. Travelers need to transfer in Singapore, Dubai, or Doha. The Seychelles expressed its willingness to launch direct flights to China with the increasing numbers of tourists and business exchanges.
