Beijing Capital Airport Passenger Traffic Up 11.8% in October

Beijing Capital International Airport Company has revealed that passenger traffic in October 2010 at the airport increased to 6.74 million, 11.8% more than in the same period of the last year.
Last month, the number of domestic passengers rose by 9.4%, while international passengers and that from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan rose by 20.5%.
In the first 10 months of 2010, Beijing Capital Airport handled 62.09 million passengers, 13.8% more than in the same period of last year.
Figures released by the operator also showed that aircraft takeoffs and landings rose 6.6% year on year to 44,700 in October 2010. Flights on domestic routes rose 5%, while overseas flights and flights to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan rose by 12.8%.
The operator also said that in the period from January to October 2010, aircraft movements rose 6.2% from the previous year to about 431,000.
