The full name of Huixian Wetland is Guangxi Guilin Huixian Karst National Wetland Park, with a planned total area of 586.75 hectares, including 493.59 hectares of wetland area. The entire wetland park is about 6 kilometers long from east to west and 2.8 kilometers wide from north to south. Huixian Wetland is the largest karst wetland in China, known as the "kidney of the Li River". It is the largest original ecological wetland with karst landforms in the Li River Basin. Islands are scattered throughout the wetland, and peaks, wetlands, lakes, and fields blend together, complementing the landscape. The appearance and surrounding environment of Huixian Wetland are not only unique in Guangxi, but also extremely rare in the peak forest karst plain landforms of the country and even the world. It is a typical wetland with great research and ornamental value.

Major Attractions In The Huixian Wetland

Glass Field
The pastoral scenery of Huixian Wetland can be said to be a representative of Guilin's pastoral scenery, with undulating mountains and contiguous villages near the countryside. Among them, the glass fields are surrounded by mountains on all sides. After watering the rice fields, they look like bright mirrors reflecting beautiful scenery such as tree shadows, sky light, and mountain colors, providing visitors with a unique visual experience.

Ancient Stone Bridge
There are many ancient and mottled stone bridges around the Huixian Wetland, witnessing the changes of time and history, such as Huixian High Bridge, Longmen Bridge, Xinglong Bridge and so on. When tourists come to Huixian Wetland, the most recommended ones are Qianlong Bridge and Copper Bridge. The Qianlong Bridge is named after the Qing Emperor Qianlong who passed by this bridge during his visit to Jiangnan. Tourists can walk to the Qianlong Bridge through the wetland boardwalk; The Copper Bridge was built in the Tang Dynasty and has a history of 1300 years. Beside the Copper Bridge, there are green mountains, clear waters and ancient rivers with lush willows, forming a unique landscape and pastoral painting.

Mountains
Climbing to the summit of Huixian Wetland offers a panoramic view of the wetland. Famous attractions include Jiutoushan Mountain, Fenghuangshan Mountain, and Longshan Mountain, with Longshan Mountain being particularly recommended. Tourists can take a boat or hike to the foot of the mountain through a boardwalk. Longshan Mountain already has a repaired hiking trail, and it takes about 15 minutes for tourists to climb to the top. From the top of Longshan Mountain, tourists can overlook the stunning view of Huixian Wetland and enjoy the natural beauty of sunrise and sunset.
