Introduction
Guihai Qinglan International Tourism Resort is a national 4A-rated tourist attraction. Its scenery is comparable to that of Switzerland, earning it the nickname “Little Switzerland of Guilin” among many visitors. The name “Guihai Qinglan” derives from “Qinglan over Gui Ridge,” traditionally regarded as the foremost of Guilin’s Eight Scenic Sights. “Guihai” refers to the chain of mountains extending from Guilin toward Haiyang Township in Lingchuan, while “Qinglan” describes the purple mist and hazy mountain scenery that appears after the rain.
Covering an area of 2.29 square kilometers, the resort combines mountains, water, forests, and grasslands. It features more than 200 karst peaks in various shapes, 3,600 mu (approximately 593 acres) of expansive lawns, more than ten ecological lakes fed by underground springs, and over 60 mu (approximately 10 acres) of century-old pine forest. A number of black swans have made their home at Swan Lake, where visitors may be able to observe them gliding gracefully across the water.
Since officially opening in 2021, Guihai Qinglan has served as one of the venues for the Guilin Arts Festival for two consecutive years. It has also hosted or provided filming locations for numerous television programs and music festivals, including "East Buy Guangxi Tour," Oriental Selection's Guangxi live-streaming tour, quickly emerging as a viral destination on social‑media.
Featured Experiences
Guihai Qinglan combines natural sightseeing with outdoor leisure and resort experiences. The Cangwu Zhiye International Camping Base provides pre-arranged tents, tables, chairs, and camping lights. Visitors can enjoy barbecue, hot pot, tea by the fire, off-road mountain vehicles, jet skis, and other outdoor activities, with everything prepared for a convenient “bring-your-suitcase” camping experience.
Cangwu Water Park is Guangxi’s first natural mountain-lake floating theme park. Covering 5,000 square meters, its fully floating facilities offer stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, water bicycles, electric motorboats, and other water-based activities. The water quality meets the national Class II surface-water standard. Other activities include hot-air balloon rides, powered paragliding, and a petting zoo.
