  • Tianmen Mountains

Domestic Transportations to Zhangjiajie

High-speed train is available in Zhangjiajie! The Qianjiang (in Chongqing) -Zhangjiajie- Changde (a city close to Zhangjiajie) railway was officially opened to traffic on December 26, 2019, marking Zhangjiajie's entry into the high-speed rail era. People who come to visit Zhangjiajie will find it much more convenient and time saving to reach the place which is world famous for its beautiful natural sceneries.

Bullet trains now run very frequently between Changsha (the capital city of Hunan province where Zhangjiajie located in) and Zhangjiajie, and it takes around 2 hours and 40 minutes one way. Tourists arriving in other cities such as Guilin, Guangzhou and Wuhan which near Hunan province first can change bullet trains in Changsha and then go ahead for Zhangjiajie.

Ordinary trains from big cities of China such as Beijing and Shanghai to Zhangjiajie are not suggested since they are too slow and the experiences on these trains thus would not be very good.
